"Treasure your modesty."

It’s not Old, it’s Vintage.

“As a Muslim girl wearing the hijab, I always want to be modest; but I want to make my outfits look fashionable at the same time. For a hijabi, it’s not so easy to just pick the latest trends and wear them; you always have to adapt your taste in fashion to your modesty. So when creating and putting together outfits, I always allow my personality to come through by playing with different pieces and trends.”

What about pre-loved fashion that isn’t currently trending?

“It’s amazing. Pre-loved fashion is a concept that allows us to go back to previous trends from years ago and modernize them; just as it allows us not to be confined to follow exact rules that the media tries to force us into. For example, so many of my favorite accessories and pieces are actually my mother’s and my grandmother’s; which shows you can always go back in time, use vintage items, and make them your own.”

I totally love the idea of reviving old trends thru vintage clothing. It’s a way to bridge generation gaps and show our daughters (in my case) that their moms were once cool too. 😉

I totally agree with you, Sharene! 😀 Vintage clothing is what pre-loved fashion is all about!
